MERRY CHRISTMAS

My favourite holiday is finally upon us. When we eat as much chocolate as we possibly can, crack open the champagne, tear open presents and snuggle up to watch endless amounts of Christmas films.

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas today. To me, it's all about the moments

IT'S INSTANATURAL *

(Above photo from here therefor belongs to Instanatural)

I had never heard of InstaNatural before I received an email from the company asking if I would review one of their products (the Argan Oil) and provide unbiased feedback over on Amazon. Not long after they then sent a further three products for me to try and review. I’ve been using these

GIFT GUIDE FOR A BLOGGER

With Christmas right around the corner, I have out together this last minute guide to help you buy that special little something for someone you love, or maybe even yourself? Last year I done a gift guide for her and a gift guide for him, so this year I am doing a gift guide for a blogger.

Here are some last minute ideas that I think other bloggers would love and even find useful (I know I would)! The perfect mix of fun and fiction.

LUXEMME REVIEW *

Although I’d rather wear a pair of ripped jeans than an evening dress, I was sent a little black dress from Luxemme, who are an online fashion retailer inspired by Parisian fashion but based in Manchester. Luxemme aims to provide luxury quality items at affordable prices, something that I vouch for.

YOU CHOOSE THE CONTENT

Its been over a year now since I started blogging and my blog has gone in a direction I never thought it would go in, but I like it. With 2016 almost here I want to know what content you would like to see me produce in the new year.

GET YOUR TEETH COCOWHITE

A few weeks ago I decided to give one of the most hyped about teeth whitening products a go, Coco White.

I came aware of Coco White through social media, seeing picture after picture of celebrities such as Kylie Jenner holding up a sachet of this natural whitening formula. I never really gave it any consideration and usually would just scroll past these images, but that was until my all-time favourite

"SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT REAL LIFE"

Social media is not reality.
Unknowingly we have slowly been sucked into a fake world within social media and find that we have spent a lot of our lives addicted to it. Not only that but we have become obsessed with the way we are viewed by others that we have never even met before. We have become addicted to social standards, social status and social approval.

Social media is contrived edited images and videos ranked against one another. It is a system that is based off of social approval, views, followers, likes and even comments. How can we see our true

THE RETURN OF AA SKINCARE (+ discount!) *

Moisturisers are a big part of my morning/night routine as it prevents my skin from getting really dry, especially in the colder months. Not that long ago I receive one of their deodorants from AA Skincare and was really impressed with it (check review out here) so much so they decided to send me one of their moisturisers - the Lavender and Tea Tree one. The products contains ingredients which are beneficial to us - such as the Tea Tree Oil which contains antiseptic properties and is well known to be a fantastic treatment when it comes to acne. Whilst lavender is known for its claiming properties and is know to help eczema and prevents dry skin therefore keeping the skin smooth and balanced.
What I love about this product is that despite they have combined two strong scents, they work perfectly together. I don't usually like the smell of lavender (clearly taking after my

TURNING 18

First off, I would just like to point out that this is my 100th blogpost!! And what a fitting time as I share with you some photos from my recent holiday to celebrate my 18th, enjoy!

On Friday 28th August I celebrated my 18th Birthday, so I thought it was about time to share with you the experience through some photos. It was an amazing day spent away on holiday with some of my family. I also want to take this time to thank you guys for the lovely tweets, Facebook messages and even the short and sweet Instagram comments I received - they made me smile :)

I went away to a tiny island just off of mainland Scotland called Eigg for a week to celebrate

TAKING IT BACK YEARS || #MUSICMONDAY SPECIAL

Like most people, music has been a HUGE part of my life and has made me who I am today. Hashtag common white girl material?

In four days I turn 18. Which is super exciting yet overwhelming. In this #MusicMonday Special post, I will be going back about 10 years to when I actually developed my own music taste and started to leave those kids tunes and rhymes behind!

I became quite independent from a young age (I like to think) traveling to guitar lessons on my own with my mermaid of a guitar - which was a big thing for me as a lil' kid.
(Not the best photo)

BOHO MOON HAUL PART 2

Following Part 1 of my haul from Boho Moon, I will be showing more items I received from the store. Since I went through necklaces last time, I will be showing you everything else from rings, bracelets and phone cases today.

AA SKINCARE *

Now, before you ask why on earth I would review a deodorant because after all a deodorant is well...a deodorant, let me tell you. After becoming fully aware of how damaging aerosol deodorants are, I wanted to make the switch to a natural, non-pore clogging roll on. That's where AA Skincare come in.

The AA Skincare range combines essential oils alongside natural ingredients - such as Aloe - to create a number of amazing and natural products that don't cost the earth!

ALL CRIED OUT || #MUSICMONDAY

Happy (?) Monday everyone!
This week I bring to you a #MusicMonday song choice that has been in the charts for a wee bit now but I don't care.

'All Cried Out' - By Blonde ft. Alex Newell

Just to start off by saying, I love this song mostly because of the wonderful Alex Newell. I first came across him four years ago when I started watching the first season of 'The Glee Project' which was a reality television series from Oxygen. It basically served as an audition for the Fox musical comedy

INSTAGRAM-ERS I LIKE

Hi guys! As you know I'm a huge addict of Instagram and am on it everyday posting pieces of my life, blog updates, bits of inspiration and so on. But the reason I love it most is I get to follow awesome people - friends, bloggers...Vanessa Hudgens...and people like yourself as I fill my feed with some of the most inspiring and beautiful accounts.

A BERRY GOOD GREEN TEA SMOOTHIE

If I can recall I have only ever shared with you one smoothie recipe on the blog before which happened to be one of my first few blog posts (a wee blast from the past!). Though it was more of a not-so-healthy one for those who like Nutella...and cream.

This smoothie - which I made this morning - is a much healthier blend yet still delicious and the antioxidant-rich green tea in it makes it a nutritional powerhouse!

BOHO MOON HAUL PART 1

If you follow me on Instagram, it may be no secret that love everything bohemian. From style to art, from jewellery to tapestry, I love it all. Recently I cam across another online store that sells everything boho and I have to say, I am pretty darn impressed. Boho Moon offer bohemian style silver jewellery at super affordable prices. With their sales being really generous I knew it would be next to impossible to not go crazy with filling the cart! Another

PROM 2015

Prom, eek! For me it was on the 12th June, so it's about time I published this post that I've had waiting for over a week! As this was my leavers prom as I go to University in September, I though there would be a few tears shed as I could probably count the number of people I will never see again, including teachers. We rented out the Thistle Room at the International

GONE BLONDE

I am blonde! Well, half blonde...maybe?
Two things I have been dreaming about for quite some time now is ombré locks and the return of luscious long hair that I once had. Let's face it, despite the affect of GoldCrush Hair, I am still a bit away from the length I would like my hair to be at. Let's say a good four/five inches longer would be nice. The ombré hair on the other hand happened last week thanks to those across the water (I'm talking the Firth of Forth) at Lox Hair Design, Dunfermline.
Luckily for me, only the ends have been dyed and my roots (and still most of my hair) have been left untouched. Which is a good thing as I always worried about the damage that may be caused despite being tired of the same hair I have had for like...ever and wanting a wee change! And it's like what Emma (the lovely hairdresser who done my hair) said, "It's the first time dying your hair and you chose this?!".

I love having my ends blonde as it's much easier to manipulate when it comes to colour, which I had tested less that 24 hours after my hair was dyed. With the aid of hair chalk I bought yonks ago I achieved the following look;
'Cheeeese!'

Well hasn't this post been filled with 'selfies' hehe

I liked it a lot but felt I still like the blonde ends more unlike my mum - who to my surprise - likes the multi-coloure more!

Since getting my hair dyed I have also taking the time (And spent the money!) to invest in some new hair products for coloured treated hair which I hope to share with you in the next couple of days or so alongside my hair care regime.  But until then,

SOME KINDA TIME || #MUSICMONDAY

Happy June the 1st fellow readers!

Jumping right in, this weeks #MusicMonday is again from a musical (it seems to be the only music I am listening to at the moment!) and just like last weeks musical, it features the wonderfully talented and good looking, Derek Klena!

'Some Kinda Time' - Performed by Eddie Birdlance and the Marines
(Portrayed by Derek Klena and Josh Segarra, Steven Booth, Adam Halpin and F. Michael Haynie)
(Video above is only available on some platforms so click here to access it if it isn't showing)
I must admit despite watching this musical - Dogfight - more times than I can count on one hand, I am still in love with the soundtrack featuring the voices from the likes of Derek Klena, Lindsay Mendez and Annaleigh Ashford.
I wish I could talk about the whole album as I think each song brings something different to the table but eventually I decided to settle for this single song as it was the first song I fell in love with from the soundtrack. And  may I just take this moment to say, those harmonies...oh.my.god.

For those who have not seen the musical Dogfight, it is an adaptation from Nancy Savoca's 1991 film of the same name, Dogfight. The musical premiered Off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theatre in 2012 with the music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

It's the 21st November 1963 and on the night before their deployment to a small but growing war in Southeast Asia, three young Marines (Birdlance, Boland and Bernstein; "the 3 bees") set out for one final boys' night. When Corporal Eddie Birdlance meets Rose, who is an awkward and idealistic waitress, he enlists to win a harsh bet with his fellow recruits in a game called 'Dogfight' (hence the title). Rose rewrites the rules of the cruel game and teaches him the power of love and compassion leading to a love affair.

Dogfight takes the audience on a romantic and heartbreaking theatrical journey that will stay long after you see the hauntingly beautiful performance.

GOLD CRUSH HAIR *

I know recently I have been lacking with the blogposts but as explained in Monday's post, there is a reason.
Taking a blast to the past to when I was in primary school, I made the decision that I wanted to do away with my long hair and get a bob. Yep, BIG mistake. At the time I loved it but about 7-8 years later I find myself still trying to grow it to the length it used to be.

However thanks to GoldCrush Hair I am a few more inches closer than what I would be - so much so, I don't actually mind the length of my hair too much now.
GoldCrush is a new hair supplement, founded by Alicia Gold, bursting with vitamins which are specially formulated to help boost the nutrients in our bodies. These help towards the maintenance of healthy hair, nails and skin because healthy hair starts from the inside. It supports cell growth and helps in keeping your follicles in-check so you can achieve healthy, beautiful hair with the bonus of healthier skin and nails!

I love the fact that I feel I know exactly what I am getting and nothing is hidden from you as everything in this product is clearly labeled.
The wee capsules of golden wonder have Biotin, Collagen, MSM, Bamboo Silica, Spirulina, a bunch of vitamins including A, C and D, alongside Folic Acid, Calcium and Iron. Full list can be viewed here. The capsules are free from gluten, wheat, lactose, artificial colourings, added sugar, preservatives, yeast and are suitable for vegetarians - which is a bonus as I am a vegetarian myself.
(p/c: GoldCrush Hair)
With the two months worth of capsules I was also sent a checklist with a sticker for each month so that I could keep track if I had taken them that day or not. I suggest putting the checklist somewhere you look daily such as your desk, next to your TV or even put it on your fridge. I also received a progress GoldCrush t-shirt to help track hair length and growth.
You are to take two of these capsules with water and preferably a meal each day. I took mine before just before lunch for the two months.

Overall, did this product work?
(My hair has grown almost four inches in two months!)

Yes! Though it can take about 2 months for you to start seeing results, I saw a difference in the health of my hair from about 2-3 weeks! I got a haircut just before I started to take this supplement as GoldCrush Hair does not change the condition of any dead-ends and strands so I wanted to start off 'fresh'. After seeing the results and improvement of the length and condition of my hair, I would definitely recommend trying these out for yourself as I found that they worked a treat! You can chose how many months you want from just one to a whole year and you can even sign up to a monthly subscription where you can save £2 per month! Check it the website out here!

Do you have any tips for growing your hair? I would love to know as I still would like my hair to be longer!
c/o GoldCrush Hair

YOU SHINE || #MUSICMONDAY

Well hello again!
It has been a while since I last uploaded a post but just like I have said before (whoops), it will change.
My school exams are over, school is over...forever (!!) and my HNC graded unit is in alongside a mammoth sized essay. This means I can finally relax and do what I love to do, BLOG...and watch YouTube Videos. XD

Jumping right in this week - as you may or may not know, I am obsessed with musicals. Especially Wicked. However following Fiyero's footsteps (In this case Derek Klena) I've now watched the 2012 Revival of Carrie: The Musical about 4 times now which has lead me to paying the soundtrack constantly (Linked at the end).

This weeks #MusicMonday is one of my favourite songs from the musical...

'You Shine' -  By Tommy Ross and Sue Snell (Portrayed by Derek Klena and Christy Altomare)

(Video above is only available on some platforms so click here to access it if it isn't showing)

'You Shine' is one of the new songs that have been added to the musical during the last several years of intense workshop in which both the musical and book were revised.

Incase you have never seen Carrie: The Musical, it is a musical (obviously) adapted from Stephen King's novel Carrie with added music by Michael Gore and lyrics by Dean Pitchford.
Carrie focuses on an awkward teenage girl, called Carrie White, who discovers she has telekinetic powers. She lives a lonely life which is dominated by an oppressive religious fanatic mother. When Carrie is humiliated by her classmates at prom, she wreaks havoc and anger on everyone and everything in her path.

Though I have not read the book nor watched any movie adaptions of it, I have seen the 2012 Off-Broadway revival of it many times now and think it is really well written and preformed. However, I wish the severity of the destruction wasn't so...severe? The ending left me really disliking Carrie White - though loving the musical.

I hope you liked this weeks #MusicMonday,  I will see you in a few days with another post, but until then...

THE END IS IN SIGHT

The amount of times I have re-written this post over and over again is ridiculous. It’s hard to say everything you want to say about the past 13 years of your life in just a few hundred words or so. But I’m giving it my best shot, because after all, another time like this will never come again. Depressing much?

Class of 2015.

We stand here, on the precipice of the future, our future. It’s not a distant reality anymore. It begins here. It begins today.

We began high school as children, but we’re leaving as young adults. We have completed a basic level of education that will serve as the platform we are using to launch ourselves into our futures. Some of us will go onto college, university, some even going straight into work, while others take a gap year. Whatever you are doing, each of us will travel our own path. No matter what that path is, let it be the yellow brick road even, there will be challenges ahead that will face us. We need to meet those challenges straight on with our heads held high as it is not enough to simply try and get by in life. The future is truly in our hands, so let’s make the most of it.
It seems like it was only yesterday we were tiny little first years fighting away through the corridors trying to figure out where our next class was (and darn, did that one way corridor in Science not make things so much more difficult!) and looking clueless to all the seniors. Now we are the seniors who stand here (well…not literally) ready to graduate and move forward in the world. Yet at this moment of mixed emotions, we can’t help looking back.
How do we measure the time we have spent in high school? At the start, we measured it in class periods, only dreaming of the day of eventual freedom. As the days and weeks passed, we measure it in terms, and later in years as we moved from being the babies of the school to turning into right typical teenagers who thought they had it all figured out. By the time we reached our senior year, we were confident that we were prepared to take over the S6 Common Room and “rule the school”! And now here we stand. Our rule is over, and it is now up to the class of 2016 to step into our shoes and take over. I know now that my time will be measured in a much different way. I will measure it in all the friendships I have had in the past six years - some just being within classroom walls. But I’ll remember each one fondly. And when some of our high school memories begin to fade, that’s how we will ultimately measure the time we have spent here. Not in periods, terms or years - but in the friendships that we made and the times we shared together.
To our teachers, thank you for sharing your time, talent and knowledge with us. Yes, we know it is your job to do so, but you go beyond the call of duty. You took the time to explain tasks, sometimes repeatedly because we weren’t paying attention.
You put in the effort to make lessons more interesting so we were less likely to tune out. You pushed us for excellence even when we didn’t feel like we could achieve it. You sat the bar high and challenged us to live up to it…even though I’m not good with heights…literally. Mr Lynch, Mr Arbuckle and Mr McPake. Mrs Durie, Miss Walker, Mrs Batty and Mrs Coull. And to those who left during my six years; Mr Morrison and Mr Carson, Miss McKeown, Mrs Todd and Miss Cameron. (Just to name some *wink*) Thank you all.

To our parents, thank you for supporting us in more ways than it is possible to count. You made sure we were out of bed each morning, even if that meant dragging us out by our feet. You came to drama shows, attended sports day, you even helped us with the dreaded homework and listened to our complaints. You commiserated over our daily dramas, however you gave us space to learn how to work things out for ourselves. These are just a few of the millions of ways you've supported us on our journey throughout school. Thank you.

With one day officially left (Muck Up Day!) I will be fitting in my goodbyes in the hallways and classrooms while there is still time. Hurrying to get the handshakes, possible hugs and photos alongside the thank yous in to my teachers while I remember what they taught me and how great they were.

With summer just over the horizon soon followed by the start of University life, the grey and beige stone school by the name of Craigmount is fading away in the distance. I will say goodbye again but not just for a weekend, but for a final time.

To those not only graduating at my school, but everyone all around; follow your passion, continue to be leaders, and to the very best of luck in your future.

Class of 2015…we did it!

KISS COSMETICS *

As I write this post, I have just came back from staying over at a relatives house and I haven't even been in the house yet for one hour! That is because I have been super excited to share with you something sneaky that the last few months or so have been leading up to!

This year I have been part of a little secret Facebook group along with other talented bloggers watching a new makeup brand, KISS Cosmetics, develop and come to life. In the group we are often asked questions about makeup where they rely on our inputs, thoughts and feelings to develop the best possible products. It has all been very exciting as we sit biting our lips in anticipation for the big reveal as it gets nearer and nearer.
(Update: TODAY!)

Kiss Cosmetics are a new UK based, colour focused makeup brand who will be initially solely focussing on quality lip products at affordable prices. The shades have been very carefully selected so that they complement all skin tones enabling something for everyone.

A couple of days ago I was lucky to be contacted by KISS Cosmetics to actually test out one of their products and review it prior to the launch which is very exciting indeed!

I really like how they are interested in listening to our opinions and thoughts throughout this whole process. This without a doubt, will make them a more successful cosmetic brand and I can't thank them enough for doing so and allowing me to review such a wonderful product!

Do you look for longevity from your lipstick? Yes? Well fear no more as KISS have just released a lip sealant to keep your lipstick right where it should be - on those lips of yours! Let me introduce you to....

Locked Lips!

Locked Lips is a clear sealant for your lips that will give you confidence in your lip colour as it seals in your lipstick allowing you to eat, drink, kiss, etc, with no transfer ensuring it will stay well and truley put!

The day after I replied saying I would love to review the selected product, I was just about to go and catch the train as I was off for the night to a relatives, the postwoman knocked on the door and handed over a wee box. Without this sounding like a story, I was so eager to open it I took with me on the train. Inside the box alongside Locked Lips, I was also sent a mini KISStick that I could use with the sealant with, in the colour 'Seductive Damson' - one for the purple lovers out there!

The KISStick will be available to purchase in 10 high pigment shades from the 22nd of April at www.kisscosmetics.co.uk for £7!

I really love Locked Lips as it ensures me that my lipstick is going to last hours and hours, if not the whole day! It is really easy to apply in a blotting motion and takes only a few seconds. I am now convinced that Locked Lips will be a staple in my make-up collection and it should be in yours too!

Locked Lips will be available to purchase on www.kisscosmetics.co.uk from the 29th April for only £3.50!

COACHELLA READY

With Coachella soon just kicking off in California, I am super jealous of those attending. The sunny music festival is just as much about the fashion as it is the music. With this year's lineup including the likes of; ACDC, Clean Bandit, Drake, Florence and the Machine, Vance Joy, George Ezra and many many many more, the lineup is more eclectic than ever before!
Inspired by this amazing music festival and some of the acts, I have broken down outfits seen by celebrities in previous years to help give you festival looks that are perfect for influencing your SS15 wardrobe. Even if you ain't attending Coachella this year, with Spring finally here bringing 't-shirt and shorts' weather you too can wear these looks.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner

Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler

Cody Simpson

If you happen to be one of the lucky ones who have a ticket and are undecided on what look to rock, I hope this has made it easier for you. Though if you aren't going, I hope these inspired looks have helped to unleash the inner boho gal (or guy!) inside of you...plus look on the bright side, there is always next year!
